I remember watching this show when it first came on :)

The Land of the Giants - inspiration from Iceland

This won the 2010 Boston Society of Architects award for un-built architecture. It also wins them our gratitude for renewing our faith in the creativity and humour that is clearly alive and kicking in both the Icelandic National Power commission who ran a competition to find something new to do with 220kv high-voltage towers and lines and in Choi + Shine who have created something rather wonderful. We salute them both.

The Mighty Gullfoss

The sheer magnitude of the water that flows through the Gullfoss waterfall in Iceland is astounding. Standing on the edge you can not only hear the roar of the water, but literally feel it as well.

This “Behind the Lens” shot was taken with my Galaxy Nexus cell phone. At sunset I returned to this location and captured as much of this beautiful area as possible.
